Phoenix Fitness is built on community. From your first session, you’ll be welcomed into a supportive group where everyone encourages each other and works as a team.
Our classes are for all ages and abilities, from five-year-olds to seniors. Whether you’re new to martial arts or picking it back up, you’ll find a class that suits you. We also offer one-to-one coaching if you want to focus on something specific.
But what really sets us apart is the connection beyond the mats. We’ve built a space where people make real friendships and enjoy being part of something bigger, even heading out together socially to stay connected.

We’re absolutely passionate about making our classes fun and exciting, and taking our students on a journey that brings out the best in them. We use all of our knowledge, skills and experience to do that, built over years of training, competing and winning some of the premier titles in the world, including the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship, the World No-Gi Championship, and the North American Grappling Awards (NAGA).

Not at all. Many people worry they’re not “fit enough” to begin, but our classes are designed to help you improve at your own pace. You’ll build fitness naturally over time, and we’ll support you every step of the way.
Absolutely. Most of our beginners have no prior experience. Every class is welcoming and structured so you can learn the basics, build confidence, and progress gradually. You’ll never be thrown in the deep end.
No, not at all. Sparring is only introduced once you’re ready and comfortable. There’s no pressure, and everything is done in a safe, controlled environment with the support of your coach and teammates.
For your first session, just wear something comfortable like gym clothes and bring a bottle of water. If you continue, we’ll guide you on what equipment or kit you might need over time.
Definitely not. We have members of all ages and backgrounds. Whether you’re in your 20s, 40s or beyond, it’s never too late to start something new and enjoy the benefits of training.
While many of our classes are mixed-level, beginners are always welcome and fully supported. Our coaches are experienced at helping newcomers settle in and make progress from day one.
Yes, we encourage it. You’re more than welcome to come along for a trial class to see how you find it and meet the team. No pressure, just come and give it a go.
Not at all. Many people start solo. Phoenix has a genuinely friendly, family-like atmosphere, and you’ll be made to feel welcome the moment you walk in. Everyone was new once.
Yes, we have junior classes for children as young as five, and many of our members train alongside their kids in different sessions. It’s a great way for families to stay active together.
